Ash is having a hard time fitting into inkopolis. Her skill level exceeds most inklings skill and she thinks every team she joins up with are not good enough. When the championships come up she realizes that her skill she thought she had couldn't help her. In the middle of the championships they become raided by octolings and rogue inklings. As everything goes downhill she realizes that war has been unleashed on inkopolis. And once you get inked there's no way of coming back. She teams up with a shy girl named Raina but regrets her decision seeing as she has no experience. Will they survive long enough to defeat the invaders?

It's been nine months since escaping the Deepsea Metro, defeating tar-tar, and saving Inkoplois things seemed to have finally calmed down for the team.
