"When my skills were first inquired, I was surprised. Honestly, I didn't think me in my hideousness would ever be needed. Then Mr. Franklin showed me why.

Standing there was in utter shock there was a dead body.

A corpse.

Someone who wouldn't ever be able to experience life on earth again.

I was scared. Why did the mayor take me to a dead body. Then I found out why. He whipped out a rusty old revolver and said "He threw a rock at my car, I thought it was a bullet. So I shot." I could tell he was lying.

I informed him he was in need of specialists, like a lawyer. But he was reluctant. He hesitantly said 'No I need you.' knowing everybody would believe it if I said it."

"Very well Mr. Carter. I assume you will be in contact with us if anything changes or... slips back into your mind." The officer informed me.

I left there fuming. He had the audacity to think I was keeping something from him. Though I knew it was true just as much as he.

"You had no right to not tell me that you are pregnant" Mr. Owens screamed and my eyes widened. He knew. This can't be happening. He was the last person that I wanted to find out. "I don't think that's any of your business" I said and turned on my heels ready to leave but he wrapped his hand around my wrist making it completely impossible for me to leave. I tried to wiggle out of his grip but it was useless. He was way stronger than me which was no surprise at all because based on his toned body he had to work out a lot. -"It is my business when I'm the father of that fucking baby" he said angry and it was easy to tell he is trying to control his anger. "You're not the father" I stated and I knew that he could tell that I was lying. -"Why are you lying? Isn't this what you wanted? A fucking billionaire as your baby's father?" he was trying to provoke me. And it worked. Did he seriously thing that I'm a gold digger and that I did this on purpose? Because with his assumption he couldn't have been more wrong. He didn't know yet that this baby is never going to be born. "No that's not what I want. The only thing I want is for you to stay out of my life" I shouted and tried once again to get out of his grip. But once again without success. -"I won't stay out of your life when I know my heir is growing inside of you" he said and raised his voice as well. "Well not for long" I mumbled under my breath and I thought only I could hear it but apparently I was wrong because based on his reaction he understood what I said. And let me tell you he wasn't pleased at all. -"You're not going to get an abortion" he said. Does he seriously think he can tell me what and what not to do? Because then he was wrong. "Oh yes I am" I stated matter of factly ... P.S: The comment section is a mess so be prepared [Started: 01-03-2017] [Ended: 04-27-2018] © 2017 kiki60102 Cover by @mahgadahling

"Order for table ten!" The cooked called, i dashed over grabbing the tray and a tray holder heading out to the table. My name is Juniper Marie Scotts. I'm 21 years old and live in a small down in South Carolina. I have three jobs and am a full time College student working on my masters Degree in Forensic science. I'm working on becoming a crime scene investigator. ------- "Sir! Rogues have been spotted outside fifth and Wakarusa at a diner! We have intel saying they are connected to a series of crimes happening all over town." I sighed resting my head in my hands. "Take a squad team out there, dont engage unless given orders otherwise! Jason and Matthew I want you to round up any pack members out there that aren't warriors and get them back to the house." The war between us and rogues has been going for decades. My father fought in it, my grandfather fought in it, my great grandfather fought through it. We dont know how long exactly this has been going on nor what started the stupid thing. There's talk that it was started between our pack and another over territory. They wanted to expand onto our land and we didnt agree. We fought, there alpha was killed and all of them became rogues. "Sir are you leading in the investigation into these rogues?" i sighed, exhausted and so tired of this. "I'm on my way." -------- Juniper was your average hard working student. Part time bartender, part time waitress, part time undercover cop. Living with her grandfather and working to get themselves into a better place. She works two jobs as part of undercover work her police department is investigating in the terms of gang violence. She didnt plan on getting wrapped up in gang disputes in town, until the night a fight broke out in the diner and she met Dean. Little does she know who is also the chief of police no one ever see's.

Paranormal Romance (Werewolf) You know that movie Jerry Maguire? It's about this sports agent who got fired for suddenly having a conscience. Anyway, there's this very romantic scene by the end of the movie when Jerry made this very heartfelt and passionate declaration to his wife. Those words would melt you into a puddle and make you burst into tears thinking, "I want to have that kind of love!" Well that very sweet scene did not happen on this story, not all of it anyway. Don't get me wrong it was heart wrenching, very much so, and there was a passionate declaration. But instead of saying the oh so loving, oh so sweet and oh so scripted "I love you. You complete me..." like Jerry did in the movie, my 'mate', the other half of my soul and the one who 'completes' me said, "I hate you. I wish you were dead!" He said it with disgust and anger burning in his eyes. He didn't run into my arms like he was supposed to, he ran away from it. But who could blame him? Jerry Maguire was right. We live in a cynical world and we work on a business of tough competitors. Why would my mate want to be with me? He'd be shunned and be forever laughed at. Aside from the fact that I was male, I'm basically useless to him because I'm a werewolf who can't phase. He's an alpha. He could have anyone he wants. And me, well, I'm on the bottom of the pack, the runt of the litter. The council didn't know what to do with me. They couldn't kill me since it could drive my mate insane, even if he didn't want me. I can't kill myself because it would probably have the same effect on him. I have to live but I can't be with my mate and my pack. So I made it easier for everyone, I ran away. I always believed in the saying "Out of sight, out of mind." What I didn't consider was the possibility that they'd come after me and forcefully bring me back.

A few months ago, I bought a mug with gold gilt. On sale. Not a gift either nor because of an occasion to remember by it. Just plain, pretty mug for 15PLN. I drank my coffee from it since. I spat loose tea leaves into it. It never felt particularly significant. An ordinary object. Only when I lost it, I realised its true value. I sat comfortably at my desk one evening. Looking at my phone, I reached to take my song-text notebook. Trivial situation. My clumsy fingers were unable to avoid the mug. They allowed it to topple over, to slip from the desktop. Even though I did not see the split-second occurrence, I felt the pressure of unease. My head painted the trajectory of the fall on its own, the shattering, spillage. The loss. For a millisecond I still had hope, that I would be able to catch the mug, that I would be able to avoid what was about to happen. But I knew I was headed for failure. I don't have any superpowers. I only scalded my fingers. I looked at the mug's new shape for a long while, at the shattered pieces. At the spilling liquid. Our adventure came to an end. Irrevocably. I won't be drinking coffee from it anymore, nor spit tea leaves into it. Well. I shouldn't be sad, it was just a regular mug, just like thousands of others. I grew to like it, it kept me company throughout hundreds of warm drinks. I lost it. I hate this feeling the most. In the moment when I am losing something, I stop in my tracks, I hold my breath. It is always a very intense moment. A short one, but one that gives me the tight unpleasant feeling in my stomach. The feeling of loss is always accompanied by hope. Silly and naïve. Making me believe so strongly, that I can make it. That I will still be able to catch the mug mid-flight. When the feeling is entering the body, crawling into me I realise, how important it was to me. Whether it's Nivan or a stupid mug with gold gilt.
