Saudade

Saudade: (Noun) A nostalgic longing to be near again to something or someone that is distant, or that has been loved and then lost; "the love that remains".

After being adopted by the wealthy Baker family, Holland had to leave California, the state that she had lived in her whole life and move to Oaklore, New York. It had been three years since her parents tragic death yet at the age of 16, Holland can remember every detail of that unfortunate night.

Hannah and Mark Baker, her new parents, promised Holland a fresh start on a new coast where she can make new friends. But how can Holland move on when she still feels responsible for her parents death? And how can she make new friends when she keeps shoving people away?

Holland promised herself that she'd keep to herself until she was old enough to move out.
But that was before she met Lindsay and Logan Morris, the infamous twins of Oaklore.
