A year and a half after the defeat of Galbatorix at the hands of Eragon and the Varden, Alagaësia has moved forward - without Eragon. Abroad training the two new Riders that have been sent to him, Eragon's mind is attacked by a force far more powerful than Galbatorix was. The only problem? The only people around for thousands of leagues are Blödhgarm and the elves, the new Riders and their dragons and himself and Saphira.
Who could this new threat be? Read more to find out!

A quick note: Obviously I don't own any of the characters created by Christopher Paolini in his series the Inheritance Cycle, and don't claim any credit for them. However, any new characters in this fan fiction are solely my own creation, and belong to me. This applies for the whole book (mainly as I'm rather lazy and can't be bothered putting it in at the start of every chapter like I see sometimes)

87 parts Complete
Eragon was once an orphan who lived on a farm, didn't know who his father was, and had never stepped foot outside of Palancar Valley. But when a blue stone appeared before him in the Spine, hatching a baby dragon, everything changed. Now, he is known as Eragon Shadeslayer, son of Brom and one of the last remaining Riders. He and his dragon, Saphira Bjartskular, have journeyed across the Empire: facing countless foes, winning many battles, and beating impossible odds. They know they are the ONLY ones who can free Alagaësia from the tyrannical King Galbatorix's rule - or are they? When a mysterious girl named Niaomi arrives at the Varden, she brings with her new hope, but also new dangers. For though she and her allies have great powers, Galbatorix will stop at nothing to capture them. And when the third dragon egg hatches, will the newcomers' history hold the key to freedom for the enslaved "Shur'tugalar"? In the first volume of an epic tale, the Riders will be forced to confront spies, thwart assassination attempts, and uncover their pasts. But even though the Varden's skill grows, the coming battle will require all of their strength. For the black king still possesses an unmatched power that even the gods would be hard-pressed to defeat. *see A/N for the full book's trailer* [COMPLETED: readable though in editing] - Chapter Status: last edited 12/3/15 • Edited: #1-#7 • In Progress: - • Unedited: #8-#10 "Destiny (Volume II: Indlvarn)" has been posted and is currently in progress. ~~~~~ Posted: Aug. 12, 2012 ~ All characters, settings, and events referenced from the Inheritance Cycle in "Destiny" and all other related works are owned by Christopher Paolini. Harmonized Freedoms by Coco_da_cat
11 parts Complete
Eliora May, a lifetime citizen of Maplemaw, is something many women are not. Literate. An activist. But these become hard to complete as all is stripped away from her with the coming of unexpected news. Marriage and war between the faeires and elves of Ilkaphene. A land of magic, where flowers and fungi grow as tall as their castles. Where forest creatures live in harmony. A land of peace. A land where a fairy married an elf. A fairy princess marrying an elf princess at that. Eliora begins to hear rumors of the war. How it was destroying an ethereal land. And, worst of all, how women were being silenced to prevent more "corruption". As the war and its standards begin to seep into Elvangmort, changing Eliora's home into one of constrictions, hushed whispers, and worst of all, a hatred toward women, she knows that she must do something to save her freedom and the freedoms of those around her. *** This is my submission for ONC 2025! Nagan | Broken Time Series: Book One

49 parts Complete

Who knew what would happen after stealing some bread from a street stall? Certainly not Nagan. Nothing out of the ordinary should have happened, considering stealing food to survive was the norm. But fate, destiny, karma, whatever you wanted to call it, had a funny way of showing mercy. Nagan didn't know what to think when a baby dragon dropped in front of him. Even stranger, it was there to deliver an invitation. Carvolier was calling to him, as was a larger-than-life destiny. Like father, like son, after all. Yet something darker seeped through the seams as his years in Carvolier went on. Only time knew what awaited him.
