Twenty-three-year-old "antisocialite" Marina Diamandis is an unknown underground artist, performing at bars, desperate to get her name out. Struggling financially, she lives in a cramped old studio apartment. Lana Del Rey has been playing at the same bars as Marina for ages, though Marina had never noticed her, until one day when Lana performs before her, and Marina is mesmerised by her performance, which leaves her starstruck afterwards.

She is very interesting to Lana. Maybe Lana will be good for Marina - it wouldn't hurt to boost her confidence and bring her out of her shell.
