 It means Secure. Contain. Protect.

 However, what happens when Christina is captured by them and is forced through testing?

 Christina has a certain cursed mask that makes her hostile when it's on her, she 'cures' people who she calls 'infected' and heal the sickened, when the mask is off however.. She's a completely different person with a different personality.

 When she first arrived, she meets a certain plague doctor who takes interest in her immediately.
