13 parts Complete

"Once there were many... Now, there is only me." Beorn's eyes held a shadow of sorrow and loss beneath them. "I might not be so sure of that." *** The Skin-changers were once a proud people who lived in the Misty Mountains. That was before the orcs invaded. All were either killed or enslaved for sport. All but Beorn died eventually in those caverns. Or so he thought... Niatha was born a skin-changer until their race was taken by the goblins. She believed she was the only survivor, and so did he. Her help is needed on the quest to Erebor. On this quest she will discover that she is not alone in this world. She is not the last... Trust is a thing that must be earned the hard way: there are no short-cuts, not cheats. A problem like this could mean the exposing of the most closely guarded secret a girl has ever held, for dwarves fear and hunt what they believe to be a threat. Even if they don't fully understand its meaning. Disclaimer-all but Niatha is owned by Tolkein and Peter Jackson.
