The forest was once a small area of land surrounded by endless fields where less than a hundred trees grew. Despite its small size, it was still easy for people to become lost in the forest's darkness. Many died, and the forest continued to grow larger and larger. Angelina was simply another unlucky person who found herself trapped in the forest's grasp. After twenty seen trips into the darkness, she began to lose any hope of returned to the joy of a life she could hardly remember. This book is a metaphor for depression. There will be multiple takes on depression, but it is to be understood that depression is different for everyone.
