Like a tender rain... Depression : A personnal journey of healinh with Christ
While I was writing this 70-pages of personnal journey (sorry about the lenght !), I asked myself: If I were still in that deeply depressed place- Would I have followed it all the way through to the end? My honest answer: Probably not. Even if i wanted so bad to heal. If you don't feel ready right now, save this and come back later. Don't let this become the 15th book on depression that you start and never finish. This will only spiraling down, and that's not the point. I understand the literal exhaustion of living with depression. But if you are ready-and I believe you are-welcome to this journey. Let me introduce myself ! I'm a young Black woman and a Christian who battled with depression for many years. I often felt lost-emotionally, spiritually, and physically. I struggled to identify what I was feeling, understand where it came from, and find support that truly resonated with both my faith and my identity. This guide was born out of that journey-and out of healing. Let's be honest: recovering from depression is hard. Life doesn't stop just because you've decided to get better. You need something stronger than willpower alone. For me, that strength came from my Christian faith. Whether you're a believer or not, if you're struggling with depression, this guide is for you. It's an invitation to understand what's going on inside you, gain self-awareness, and move forward-one small step at a time-with faith, grace, and self-compassion. You are not alone. Being the difference I want to see in the world.
As sad as it may be, we live in a world where the rich are getting richer, and the poor live in worse conditions every day. A world where people have to live behind masks and hide who they truly are, just to be accepted into this corrupted society. A world where everyone primarily thinks of himself and not about what he could to help his brother in need? Dive into my vision, be bold enough to read these chapters, and accept that you may have also been committing these mistakes that corrupt our society and together, let us grow into better versions of ourselves and begin to wonder; what if this had happened to me? How would I have reacted? What can I do to change my community? What if I decide to manifest my dreams every day instead of wishing they would happen? Every single part of this will be entirely unique but all interconnected by one subject, "the human nature".
