After the War annihilated most of humanity, the government made a mandatory microchip for each citizen of the Association of America. This microchip sends you a...notification when you meet the person you are destined to be with for the rest of your life. The whole objective behind this chip was to repopulate the earth. It became law to have at least three children, at least one must be a girl. When the law was put into affect, all current citizens were required to get it and each newborn was implanted with it within the first minutes of their life. For 70 years, this process has worked flawlessly. Wendy Hunter received this chip at birth, along with the rest of the population. By the time she hits 18, she thinks she gets her feeling when she meets Jackson Duncan. "Come on out little girl, why not make this easier for both of us. The agency you ran away from just want to have a little talk, that's all." She scoffed internally. Yeah right. Then the footsteps ceased. She peeked to the right, then to the left. Neither direction showed any sign of the intruder. She looked up in front of her and gasped, the glint of steel and smell of death as overwhelming as it was adrenaline inducing, exciting. "Boo." ✮ Murder, accidents, assassinations. Call it what you will, it's all the same, all has the same life breaking, mind shattering consequences - be it for the victim or the bystander. It had shaped Alex in a way no one should be. Broken down and rebuilt into the perfect soldier, one who had the power to change the world, to fight battles that would either make or break the carefully constructed vision we all live in. The only small, minute, really unimportant detail - it's pretty hard to get into a government classified site when you're 15 years old and have a rag-tag team of double-crossing back-stabbers behind you. It was a normal day, until we heard those static noises. The next thing you know everyone is running out the classrooms. I can hear students screaming and running. When I step out I see bodies all over the floor. My old friends covered with blood, like a red blanket covering them. Follow as a group of students try to escape this hell. Their past catches up to them. They have to face reality and stop trying to hide the past. What they didn't expect was for the past to catch up so quickly. Lying and acting fake, is just the beginning of the past, but also torture, and rape. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At the beginning of the story it's really bad writing. But as you continue to read the story gets better, I promise. Do give my story a chance I promise you won't regret. (I think ;))
