Kase Lucal has a special gift, she can see the dead and how they died. The thing is that when she can see the dead but they can't see her. Kase has been called by a girl to come investigate a hospital that has be haunting the French Courter for years. When she goes to see the death of a man, something is wrong, she goes back in time to 1934 when the hospital was at its prime. Kase falls in love with the man that is in charge of the hospital, Brookes Teller. When Kase soon learns that he is supposed to die, she knows she can't love him. But she can't help herself.
