I fumbled furiously with the chain that was attached to my ankle, pulling and prodding at it in hopes it would loosen. But it seemed to only grow tighter.
I could hear them.
They were approaching quickly.
I was dead and I knew it.
But with the small bit of hope I had left, I yanked at the chain, whimpering at the pain, and growling in frustration.
It was silver. Every werewolves weakness.
It burned my skin, searing into the raw flesh making me cry out in pain. My attempts to loosen it weakened as it scorched my hands, forcing me to let go.
They can kill me. Maybe it will end this nightmare.
The sound of soft galloping made my eyes cast up tiredly, seeing a man sitting on a large horse.
He was scowling at me as he came to a stop, his eyes scanning me as if I would attack him at any given chance.
He jumped down off his horse, taking small, anticipating steps towards me. A knife rested in his hand, his fingers trailing along the sharp end of it as he smirked down at me.
I glared at him back, my eyes not leaving his the entire time, eyeing his every movement.
He stopped only a few inches away from me now, his eyes seemed to be scanning my burns. The chain on my ankle still hissing as it ate away at my skin.
But he smirked again, lifting his eyes back up to mine.
"Well, would you look at that. We've found another one" he said quietly, his voice seemed calm, but a trail of venom leaked from his words.
A growl escaped my mouth, but no reaction came from him.
"State your name, Werewolf" he demanded, clenching his one fist, the other was tight around the knife.
I growled again, raising my head high.
"Anaki," I started, "Anaki Jones".
My blood boiled and I felt the urge to rip him apart when his only reaction was a stupid smirk, and muttered something under his breath.
"Gesundheit"

All this is a lot to deal with, especially when he's falling in love with not just one, but two people. Could they be falling in love with him too? Is that possible? To fall in love with someone like him?
