Jessica's life at Camp Half-Blood has drastically changed over the past two years. She no longer feels like an unwanted outsider; the daughter of Hades and Hunter of Artemis finally feels at home. While she is happier than she used to be, there is a part of Jessica that wishes to be able to leave camp and begin traveling with the Hunt. With her 18th birthday rapidly approaching, Jessica has some decisions to make. Is she truly ready to leave all of her newly made friends and her younger brother at Camp Half-Blood so she can go travel the world with Artemis? And have all of the gods forgiven Jessica for the very reasons they used to be angry at her for? Follow the journey of Jessica as she comes to a crossroad full of obstacles and chooses what path to take.

Hyacinth Lockwood the daughter of the goddess Artemis joined the half-blood camp at a very young age after she witnessed her father's death from Medusa who turned him into stone. She was taken to the camp in secret when she was only five years old by her mother, and after that day she never saw her again. Hyacinth grew up together with the other demigods and always tried to get her mother's attention by being the best in every game and every training they did, but with no luck, which made her feel unloved by the only family she had left. Until one day someone appeared in one of her dreams and started giving her hopes and promises. Promises that said that all her questions will be answered and for her to have the normal life she always wanted far away from the camp with the person she loved the most in this confusing but significant world
