Ah, it was late November, and the carnival had just arrived. Music continuously drifted thru the air, and funnel cake scent was common. "Daddy may I go?!" Salice giddly jumped from the window view. "No,Salice don't you think your little old for carnivals?" He replied with a sneer. "Remember what mother said, youre never too old, and its never too late for any thing." The girl smiled, trying to impress her old father. "No." " But daddy!" *turns and begins to walk away* "No, and- butts are for sitting." Was his smart comment. "Ugh!" Salice ran up sairs and tossed her face into the silk pillow her mother made her when she was only a baby. Her father came in," Salice, im taking a nap" and he left. The girl looked over at her clock, 5:17. *smiles* well, its only 5,the carnival ebds at 7... before she even knew it, her hair bow was tied, bag was packed and she was.out the window.

Hadley Jamison doesn't know what to think when she hears that her classmate, Archer Morales, committed suicide. She didn't exactly know him, but that doesn't stop her from feeling like there was something she could have done to help him. So to Hadley's surprise, on the very night of Archer's funeral, she has a run in with Death himself and is offered the chance to go back in time to stop Archer from ending his life. The catch? She only has twenty-seven days to do it. And if Hadley doesn't succeed? Well, she doesn't want to think about that.
