If you are standing here today, you are one of the lucky receivers of the first fully immersing VRMMORPG (Virtual Reality Mass Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) created specifically for writers and their imaginations. You may not know the true intentions of this game. Not many among you do. Inglenook is not a game. Inglenook is a haven. Today, 6/7/2067, the world is ending. Only those in Inglenook equipment can and will survive.
You are free to log out, but your homes are no longer safe. To log out is suicide. In 24 hours the log in option will be removed and your log out will be permanent. Being killed in Inglenook after that will also log you out permanently.
For those of you who stay, in one year you will be released into the reborn earth and start a new civilization. A civilization created by the greatest people we could find.

Although Yan JingJi couldn't kill Hu Chen Mu due to his "protagonist halo" (the plot armor protecting the protagonist), he made sure that Hu Chen Mu's life ended miserably, sending him to prison where he would live in misery until old age, thus turning Hu Chen Mu our villain.
