Erin has had a difficult life. She's 16 years old and has lived at the same orphanage for almost all of her life. And things are good. She has a best friend named Caroline that she can play video games with any time she's over at her house. And that's enough for her.
But when it's the last day of school in her Sophomore year, she finds out that a young couple is looking to adopt an older child. And she's in the age range.
What will happen when Erin is adopted and her past is revealed to her new parents?

When they saw Sophia, they knew that she was the one. Although Sophia is shy, sometimes scared of the opposite gender, and has a fear of boxes, this couple is determined to show Sophia that the world has a bright and happy side. It's gonna be hard though. Will they be able to show Sophia what happiness really is? Will she find out who her real parents were? Will she have a happily ever after?
