Everyone makes a few bad decisions every once in awhile, but Jaq's past choices are tearing her apart and slowly killing her. Even if she has been able to outrun the justice system and the punishment she probably deserves, there is no way to escape her own mind. No way to escape the torment and destruction she has wrought.
Jaq's life seems like one continuous string of failures, and her death isn't looking much better. But there's still time. Not much, but maybe just enough to apologize and make amends.
