The forest was her home, it was her life, it was the place she felt at peace in. Yet this forest was not her home, nor anywhere close to it. In fact, there was a big fog that surrounded her mind as to who she even was. The freshly sealed wound on her side, her body caked in her own blood.
Yet there wasn't even a single memory of how it had happened.
One thing was for sure, someone had hurt her, had burned her, had ruined the bond she shared with them. After all the stench of betrayal could only come from someone close.

"Light up my darkness," he murmured against her bare flesh. His fingers trailed up her arm, leaving a blazing fire beneath them. As if the thought of getting caught by Tate didn't scare her enough, what surely scared her was the thick silence in the air. When had the woods become so empty all of a sudden?
