"When I was eight years old, my best friend Jake Maury taught me how to fly. And after a broken arm and a dozen bruises, honest to goodness, I was just plain too tired to argue." Welcome to the world of Maggie Rose Porter, an adventurous eight-year-old redhead who, along with her sidekick/best friend Jake Maury, is ready to conquer her entire block and beyond, one popsicle stick at a time. From jumping off the roof with cardboard wings to starring in World War II fighter pilot stories of her grandfather's great imagination, Maggie spends her childhood summers doing all the things we did and wished we had done when we were younger. It's a childhood of summers--and everything that involves--all wrapped up with something to make you smile :) The sweet. The spectacular. The supreme, and the silly summers of Maggie Rose Porter. Indulge in fun.
