Have you ever heard of the Dark forest? Well in the Dark forest there live dark and dreadful creatures called goblins. The goblins are ugly, both inside and out. Their skin is slimy green, they have horns that are oil black, claws that could rip you open with no effort at all. And worst of all is their hearts who are blacker than the darkest night. But are all goblins really that bad? Can't there be good goblins like there are bad humans or cruel horses?
This is the story of a little goblin girl that is a little bit different from all the other goblins and how her beautiful song is silences at last.

There was a Spirit. A Spirit Wolf to be exact. She had fluffy white fur, and some parts as inside her ears, her paws, and her eyes glowed.This particular Spirit preferred to be alone. She did not like company. Only 2 years ago a raven wouldn't stop bothering her. Surprisingly, this bird became her beloved companion. He helps her with her job as a spirit-and distracts her at times. The Spirit Wolf's job is to bring life and to pass life. Bringing life is to help plants grow and to watch over all of the new mothers in spring. To pass life means to let a corpse sink into the ground and become one with earth itself. If the creature that passed had a good life, the Spirit would put them into the afterlife. If they died a very unfair death or was too young for their life to be over, she would help them reincarnate. She could not reincarnate a creature every time it was killed, though. It would only make them have infinite lives. The Spirit Wolf seemed unhappy when she did her job, but she enjoyed seeing the faces of pure happiness of the new mothers. Death is a mercy for the hunted, a sanctuary for the tormented, and a respite from the unspeakable things of the world. No, death was not the worst thing you were destined to face.
