In case you didn't realize the narrator of my book "David" is Juliet. (Yes most of the poems were personal but I kind of wanted to play around with the same idea but from a different perspective, after all there is always two sides to every story.) This book is the other side of the story through another sequel of poems, and this time the narrator is David.

"Our 4-year anniversary," I said, my voice gentle, as if saying it aloud would remind her of the love we shared. Oh, I forgot," she muttered, Will you be my girlfriend again, my moon? Will you marry me and make me the happiest man alive? I want to spend my life with you, to have children, to grow old together. Will you be my wife?" Silence. Her tears fell freely now, but they weren't tears of happiness. Her face was pale, her body trembling. I stood up, panic rising in my chest. "What's wrong?" "I don't want to be your lover anymore. I'm scared of becoming your wife. I don't want to bring a child into a world where they'll suffer.
