Roxy's life is a living hell.. Neglect, harassment. It sucks. She really was a good person, but school ruined her. Kids made fun of her, because she had one blue eye and one green eye. It is very beautiful, really, but she is hated on. They beat her to a bloody pulp daily. Every day, Roxy avoids school, or at least she tries to. She wants to die. She wants it all to end. She cuts. She tries suicide. She can't do it. She doesn't know what to do. At least there is one person who cares, who tries to save her, to give her a right mind, to not hate herself. But the problem is, that person has a hard time not killing Roxy.....

She simply waits for everything to get better, after all what's the point in trying when the world will do whatever they can to drag you down. Her only escape from this twisted reality is a creature named Shadow. A terrifying creature that is somehow more humane than the so-called humans around her. Shadow could easily take all her problems away, but Melody refuses to take the easy way out. That is, until she just couldn't take it anymore, she takes Shadow's offer and soon her life got better. Her bullies started disappearing, showing up dead in the woods. Their bodies badly mutilated, almost unrecognizable. Life at school started getting better, she finally had human friends and even a boyfriend. Her "father" was found dead at her house. The torture had finally ended. They say what's in the past keep it in the past but I wanted to know all about my past. It was things that I didn't know and that I wanted and needed to know! But my life turned upside down when my past is exactly what I should have left alone. Now if you ask me how it all began, I don't exactly remember but I know it started when I moved in with my grandma who I haven't met in all my twenty years of living. I have been in and out of foster homes since I can remember, living with families I knew nothing about. Being the outcast and them constantly asking me what's wrong because I simply did not speak. I stayed to myself and graduated high school with honors, getting a full-ride scholarship to any college of my choice.
