Jackie Cachowski, sister of Carl Cachowski, is pretty much in love with Sylvain Evans. They both work at a record store, and it is very awkward for the two. Catherine Fries, Jackie's best friend, works at a burger shop and lives in the apartment above the shop. She is adopted, and she is in love with Carl, which makes Jackie gag. Together, despite their awkwardness and some disappointments, they create one heck of a band!
