I winced at the sharp pain of the scalding metal entering my body. I let a salty tear roll down my delicate cheek; but I had to keep running. The men weren't far behind, and they were slowly- but surely- gaining on us. I tried with all my might to get up and continue going but my vision was getting blury and large black spots started to enter my vision. I finally managed to stand up, only to hit the cold, hard ground once again. I looked over my shoulder; sweat forming on my forehead. I could feel the warmth radiating from the hot fire coming from the arrows. I only heard a faint scream before I blacked out; hitting my head on my way down.

The night was cold and the wind was blowing. Their wasn't a being in sight, but that's understanding considering is around midnight. The leaves crunch under my feet and white fog surrounds my face after every exhale of air. I hear a snap from behind me and quickly turn to see what it was...nothing. Turning back, I began to quicken my pace. I'm suddenly shoved to a wall with my neck crammed to the side. "You smell delicious." A voice said. I turn my head only to see a man with jet black hair and icy blue eyes. "P-please. Let me go." I cried. He smirked, "Where's the fun in that?" With that his eyes turned red with veins under them, fangs peeked from his mouth. He latched his fangs in my neck, draining me of my blood. I can slowly feel myself become weaker, slowly start to fade away. Bang! Bang! My tired knees buckle and slam together as I roll down the steep, narrow ramp like thunder as clumsily as a frail old woman. Sweat streams down my hot forehead in trickles of sticky, bitter sweet water. The droplets gather at the beginning of my hairline like an army on the border of enemy territory. This maze of blackened, battered walls is illuminated by the soft multi-coloured glow of the futuristic weaponry we’ve been armed with. It’s been barely twenty minutes since I’ve been thrown into battle like a rabbit into the lion’s den. I’ve managed to trigger, kick and claw my way through like a rabid dog roaming the sober streets. I’m the last of the survivors. I lick my lips in anticipation like a raindeer high on candy canes. My adrenaline runs wild like a boar streaking through the forest. The outline of a tall male with dark hair, dark eyes and tanned skin engenders itself to my gaze. I aim, the slim barrel of the black gun aligns with my focused eye. Bang!Complete

I hear a footstep to the right of me. I turn to face the right but nothing's there. Vampire. I feel like something is coming up from behind me. I spin and slice at whatever's coming at me. I look down and it's not there. I look down at Ares and blood is dripping from Ares. I'm thrown off my feet and I land on my back. I raise my sword as something goes to clash down on me. Another sword. It's pushing down hard on my sword. I raise it up and slice at the vampires stomach, I get him. I stand up and spin my sword. I can't see the Vampires face just an outline. I slice at the vampire again but he's gone. Arms enclose from behind me. I try to wriggle from his grip. I bring up my elbow to his nose then his stomach. He falls back but re gains his balance. Suddenly he's disappeared. I walk down the ally way. My boots make a gentle clicking noise against the concrete. I swear underneath my breath. I go to turn but Area is flown out of my hand. I scream trying to run faster hoping somebody would hear my cries. My throat became sore from the cold quickly making it harder to breathe freely. "Help me! Somebody!" I hear the tall figure run behind me feeling a grip on my hair. My white ski hat fell into the ground covered in snow. The man groans pulling my hair towards him making me collapse. "No, stop!" I scream struggling from his grasp, punching and kicking aimlessly. "Shhh." The man whispers into my ear grabbing onto my wrists starting to cuff them. "No!" I scream twisting and turning trying to bite the man's arm. The man doesn't say much. The only thing I hear is his heavy breathing. He starts to shackle my ankles together as I lay a full blown kick into his face making him groan in pain holding onto his nose on top of the mask. "Help me, somebody!" I keep yelling as he kicks me in the stomach and takes out a clothed bag from his coat pocket putting it on my head covering my face. I hear the clanking of metal loud and rigid from behind me, I feel the wind rush past as I sprint, they are still chasing me. I'll be honest I don't know what to do, quite frankly it's hard to think straight right now. I feel my body shutting down as the adrenaline is losing its punch, I can't run any faster. I'm always running, they are always chasing me. I don't even know why they chase me, I don't know what I did and like them they won't say. Do they even know? Am I just unlucky? Someone they picked at random to be the new subject of there torture? I wont let it happen. That's why I'll stay free, never fully contained. I think about the one I love, Charlie. I don't know where he is, I don't even know if he is safe. "Hey! Weapon down sarge, we don't want to kill her!" A guard's shout smacks me out of my train of thought. By this point I've gained some distance due to them having heavy armour. This stops me in my tracks though, I hear the guards slow down too. I stop, I realise, they want me alive. They aren't going to kill me, they don't want me dead. I have a gun, if I just point it at myself what are they going to do? I turn around and I look at all of the guards who have stopped in their tracks heaving in confusion. It's silent, even the wind is merely a whisper, all that can be heard is the panting of everyone on scene. They want me alive, they want me alive. I turn around, towards my chasers. I notice the guards straighten as I do so, instinctively I hold my gun to my neck, one bullet left, not enough for all of them but enough to kill me. They don't want me dead. I look to see all of them freeze in shock before one of the guards takes a step forward. I can't see their face, I can't see anyone's face but I feel like I need to know who this is. Before I can react they raise their gun and shoot. Pain explodes in my leg and I fall, all that running, for nothing. All I see now is black, I can't hear everything but I still feel conscious.
