They are know as Cursed Fruits or Devil Fruits throughout the world. No matter where the rumors about these fruits will always be heard and another rumor is some times attached to it. A rumor about a family; a family whose female members have at least once had the ability to control these fruits. No one knows if it's true or not and very few believe. Follow the path of Kita D. Kaede the current female of said family who has The Curse of the Fruits.
  
  Just for those few people who are probably wondering yes this is similar to my Keeper of the Devil Fruits story but with different outcomes in most of the scenarios and it is a Zoro x Oc fanfiction. I suggest reading to at least chapter 441 or to watch up to episode 325 and I will include some of the arcs that are only seen in the anime (Lovely Land, Spa Island, etc.), as well as some of the movies. There is swearing located in the story just to forewarn you if you dislike swearing.

This story takes place in the world of One Piece! A seventeen-year-old girl named Nova ate the Akuma Akuma No Mi fruit when she was 16 years old. It turns the user into a demon. Not evil, but they have the appearance and powers of a demon. She saw Luffy and his crew fighting a villain, so she steps in and helps. She ends up getting stabbed, so the Straw Hats take her onto their ship. After a while of getting to know the crew, they go to a new island. There, Nova gets reunited with two people she never wanted to see again. Then, everything goes to rock bottom. Once she escapes that, everything gets better! Until it isn't. (Btw, go check out my best friend's story called, "Hell Bound." It's about Hazbin Hotel!!!! Her username is ShireeseSlater.)

This is the first time I've written a full story about something related to an anime and manga series, and of course I had to kick it off with a new obsession of mine that is the global phenomenon known as One Piece. This was on my mind after watching the Drum Island retelling movie(bruh I bawled like a five year old), so here is a rewrite of the arc/season with my OP OC in the mix! When Nami falls ill, the Straw Hat pirates seek medical care for her on the icy coldness of Drum Island. It happens to be the very place where one of their members, sixteen year old Devil Fruit wielder Mirai Tatsumi, grew up after being casted out of her home village shortly after gaining her power to turn into a dragon hybrid. While on the island, the team meets Tony Tony Chopper, a reindeer doctor who happened to be Mirai's mentor and the only best friend she ever had long before she met Luffy. When the old king returns to claim what was rightfully his, the six pirates must band together to protect the land and its people. As a small warning, spoilers to Drum Island are in this story! Although I do not own One Piece and its characters, I do own my OC.
