When Emily's mother sends her away to live with her father for the summer, who she hasn't seen in over twelve years, she finds herself in Lakewood, a small island of the coast of Florida. Emily still struggling from her most recent break up with her ex boyfriend Jacob, and her over stressed mother. When Emily arrives at Lakewood, things begin to change, she finds out secretes about her past, and begins a new relationship with her father. But when Emily meets Cassie, things really take a turn. Cassie, the Islands troublemaker, and Emily begin a friendship, but what happens when feelings abrupt? Will Emily choose to go back, or will she choose to stay in Lakewood?
