Daire is a seer, who withdrew into depression after he watched his 8-year-old sister die of pneumonia.
Everleigh is a highly trained assassin who buries his past in mastering the martail arts.
Arlo can control the weather with a thought, and uses that to bury his problems with abusive parents.
Remi has wings and often hides her past as an orphan behind an overprotective nature.
India can run faster than lightspeed, and keeps her heart guarded after the guy she loved tried to kill her.
Dimitri can dissolve into shadows and does as he's told purely to protect the only family he has left, his grandmother.
When these eight children are put together, forming an elite, and gifted, young new team of heroes, meant to help out humanity if the worst were to happen. They are sent on missions to "bond" and learn how to "work as a team".

If the insane Dark Dragons managed to devour enough skykids, they would soon be able to have enough strength to force their way into other realms, and make them as barren as the sorry lands they came from. Taking down the harvesters was what his father, Orchari, was trying to achieve, since he was once a skykid that was trapped in the horrid lands of the lands in which he was held captive in. This story is finished, but in Swedish ;) It's around 110k words and I have now finished translating it into English! I have currently uploaded more than half of the book (I'd say the midpoint is around chapter 44), and the whole thing will be uploaded probably before August. Star learns that she has an alleged relation to a long dead court noble she couldn't care less about and meets Arlen, an enigmatic, if slightly annoying, prince who seems hellbent on protecting her from the true evilness that lurks around her while helping her hone her new found strength, which is slowly but steadily creeping out of control. But as time continues to pass and tensions grow higher, Star hears whispers about a growing rebellion that could dissolve the current monarchy and bring her back home. She decides to help, along with her friends, and begins to realize that being young does not exclude her from the horrors of war, and she is faced with the fact that even if she is able to return home, nothing-not even her-will ever be the same. *Basically, a YA novel with teenagers being teenagers, more gay, more diversity, a lot more swearing, and darker humor.
