This is a story based on Beauty and the Beast featuring the Mane Six and King Sombra. The mane six have finally have their own families and are living peacefully. Astra, the daughter of Twilight Sparkle and Flash Sentry, was sent with her sister and her friends to the Crystal Empire. Meanwhile, King Sombra was planning his demise to make a comeback in Equestria. Nebula, however, accidently stumbles into his castle and, in rage, he keeps her prisoner. Astra, desperate to find her twin, finds her way to King Sombra's castle and makes a deal to take her place instead. With Astra now living in the castle, King Sombra must gain the love of Princess Astra or he will remain as a shadow for the rest of his life. If he can find love in her and earn her love in return, then the spell will be broken, and all who lives in the castle of King Sombra will return back to normal. Can Astra find a way to change the dark King's heart or will she reject his feelings? And can Astra's friends find a way to bring Astra back before more trouble accords in Equestria.

Sora is a better witch than wolf, though not by much, but she still pursues that craft in spite of the dangers. Her place in the world is a dangerous one, but will it last? The world she lives in is a dangerous one, and such a life as hers rarely ends happily. Disclaimer: this is a short prequel, Sora's story does not conclude with this one. As they become close king Sombra scams his next plan that involves using Flurryheart for his own plans, will he end up actually falling in love with the young princess of love?
