The door only in arms length so close but yet so far. Whispers of cold air dance in the room alerting me that there's a presence behind. The unsteady tension growing increasingly yet no movement is made. For what seems like hours facing this huge oak door, only minutes whisk by.
"Let me try and heal you" his strained voice called out.
No reply
"Please?" He begged again.
I blew out a slight breath I didn't realise I was holding in.
"You can try to heal an open wound but it may never heal." I answered, my voice becoming slightly strained, still facing the wooden door.
"Thank you." The voice sounded light as a feather as if a heavy weight had been lifted off. My nod barely noticeable, with that I swung the door open and closed it hearing every cog turn. My back leaned for support against the door which separated me from the figure. I sighed.
