In the militaristic and competitive world of Auryon, the lands are divided into four island kingdoms.

In Eiramere, the kingdom of the Snow family has become a true apex predator, its bustling economy rich beyond belief in resources and land- and for good reason. But the Snow family harbors a dark secret, a secret hidden so deep most of its members know nothing of its existence.

Unaware of the danger enshrouding them, two beloved members of the Snow family are sent to The Academy, the prestigious and highly-selective finishing school nested on an island at the heart of Auryon's four kingdoms. At this school, the best and most promising young members of society are trained to fight and kill Reapers, wicked beasts of shadow. This divine purpose of Hunting, meant to solidify and perpetuate the shaky relations between the kingdoms, is a mere distraction in the face of the shady goings-on.

The Snows will find themselves in more peril than they realize, for even the isolated island of The Academy will not be left unscathed by the Snow's best-kept, blackest secret.

And the Snow will run red with blood...
