There Daryl found a job at his favorite coffee spot "The Grind", and had way more luck with finding an apartment. He enjoyed his small apartment and simple life until Rick Grimes came into the picture. Rick was an officer, who came into the shop everyday, not trying to sound cheesy, but he fell for Daryl sooner or later. Only making his life more complicated.
Daryl couldn't lie... He had a role in this mess.

This story has taken me months to write and I finished it just days after the Season 8 midseason finale. Any similarities to that episode are pure coincidence.
