A young boy living in Alabama in the 1950's is branded a retard by his parents, his classmates, and his peers. Despite his disabilities, he sets out to prove that he is no retard, and that he is not only smart, but talented. Beset by tragedy, disbelief, and rejection, he must search within himself for the strength to prove who he truly is.

As a small boy no one really knew him. He was constantly moving from city to city he felt alone. His mom and dad split only when he was a baby so he didn't know his father and didn't really care but his mother passed so he lived life alone. He moves again but little did he know it would be the last time they moved for a while. He got jobs to keep him in a small apartment and food on his table. A girl who seems to know things about everyone sees him and don't know who he is. She seen him around But doesn't know a thing about him and wants to know exactly who he is. She watches him from a far but what happens when he finds her at every place he goes.
