Zella's life had always been the same since she was a child: stay in the apartment unless you absolutely need to go out. Well, there are a few instances in which she's allowed to go out, but only with the permission of her rigid mother.
In the time she spends staring outside her apartment window, Zella befriends a boy named Myles who feels just as trapped in his world as she does in hers. Hoping that maybe one day she would get a real taste of the outside world, Zella lets the emergency ladder down every morning and invites him in through her window.
The happiness the two feel with each other is uncontainable, but how long will it be before their secret is discovered?
