Wish Upon a Star [a short story]

Wishes do come true, if you wish from all your heart.
Joey has been best friends with Pauly since she was six years old. She could tell him anything and he would listen without interruptions. Although it is expected since Pauly is a teddy bear. Yes, you read right. This fifteen-year-old girl's friend is a teddy bear. Joey has always been alone, and lonely. So what does Joey do when she has basically no one to turn to? She turns to Pauly. The only thing that bothered her though was no matter how much she talked to Pauly, he wouldn't talk back. So, one night when Joey is gazing at the stars, with Pauly of course, she spots a shooting star. She does the expected of course - she wishes for Pauly to come to life. But Pauly isn't what he appears to be. Pauly has a secret that no one knows about.
