Quota: a number or percentage, especially of people, constituting a required or targeted minimum.

It all started with Ham. Principal Smith didn't know he had a quota to fill until Ham signed up. But in Ham's defence, he wasn't to know that just one sentence from him would send the principal on a desperate man-hunt for the 'ultimate friendship group' - a diverse, mismatched, good looking bunch that would look perfect for when the Inspector came sniffing.

But when these kids are left alone on a retreat that would either make or break friendships, they come to know just how their contrasting backgrounds can collide.

Can Principal Smith build the 'ultimate friendship group' in time, or will pushing together people from so many different worlds create something that he can't handle?

Life had taken a turn for the better ever since my troubled brother was incarcerated for life. However, one day, a sense of unease crept over me and my best friend as we noticed a mysterious figure tailing us through the bustling town. "Ally, who's that man?" my best friend inquired, her voice tinged with concern. I scanned the area nervously, my heart pounding. "We should get out of here," I urged, seizing her arm as we hastily made our way through the crowded streets. Abruptly, I awoke from a disquieting nightmare, my screams ricocheting through the silent house. "Mom, there's a man chasing me in my dreams," I gasped out, my hands trembling. She attempted to soothe me, attributing the tumultuous visions to my overactive imagination. On one occasion, I inadvertently overheard my mom and aunt engaged in a hushed conversation, puzzling over what impending revelation they were deliberating. Eventually, I mustered the courage to confront the enigmatic man who had been shadowing me. "Why have you been following me? Who are you?" I demanded, my voice quivering with trepidation. "I am Aleekie Smith," he disclosed, leaving me dumbfounded. "You're the man from my dream," I whispered, the pieces falling into place. The drama unfolded further as I crossed paths with a former boyfriend adamant on asserting control, his aggression escalating to a perilous climax when he brandished a firearm. Feeling ensnared, I made a pivotal decision to extricate myself from the tumult, severing ties with everyone in a dramatic departure. Amidst escalating tension and conflict, an unexpected source of solace materialized in the form of my father, ushering the narrative into an unforeseen trajectory. To uncover the compelling trajectory of events that ensued, I urge you to continue reading. This is merely the entrancing prologue of the gripping saga that awaits. Don't forget to vote and comment!

A story about three elite kids who seem to have everything in life. But is it really what it seems to be? Get inside the life's of three bestfriends as they take you through the ups and downs in their life and maybe even make you look at the world a different way. . Excerpt from the story: I don't understand how a person can look so sad and calm at the same time. Isis leans back and sighs 'What your friend said was right...' 'What?' 'The part where he said that I am a mean b*tch. And that everyone in school talks about me behind my back...' She continues '...I know people call me names behind my back. I know that if they could, they would burn me alive' she chuckles as if it's something funny. 'But do you know why I still am what I am?.....it's because I don't feel like smiling in front of those fake people. I won't ever go out of my way to keep them happy. And honestly every person is like that, everyone is selfish. Me too. Everyone will only try to please you when you have everything. The difference is, I show my bad side and they don't, they are good at hiding. But it's okay I don't want to pretend to be good...' . Not at all a cliché story. #484 in feminist 21/02/20
