"I believe you are more than ready," the God answered. "You have trained long and hard to combat this threat with us."
The brunette female let out a sigh. "That may be true, but compared to the others, mortal or not, my power comes nowhere close to what they possess." She stared at her hands, which she just now noticed were shaking slightly.
"And now, for the first time in my life... I am genuinely afraid."
