Their father is the king of the sea, their mother died of a sea sickness when Nami was born. The king of the sea is happy on the outside but angry on the inside.
But the sea is at war, a war between mermaids and merarks- merarks are a mermaid but with a shark tail and gills and they have sharp teeth.
