The country, once called the USA, is now nothing. Everything is dead, along with the rest of the world.
But only some live.

An area of land in the country was preserved and people live there. But what is different is that the land is divided into four seasons: spring, summer, fall, and winter.

Melanie Cost loves what the technology can do, until she realizes it's changing people physically, mentally, and emotionally. The land is changing for the worst, too. And she doesn't know how much time they have left.

The chaos starts when people begin dying, and it won't end soon. How many more will have to die before they realize that the enemy is not only the technology. . .but themselves?
