The End Has No End

Being alone was easy when you had lived for 122 years. Ezekiel Bennet expected nothing more, cursed as he was. His only consolation was in his work as a doctor.

In 1955, he chose the city of Harrisonville, Louisiana to settle in, working at a hospital. It was there he met Vera Ashford, and suddenly anything seemed possible. Perhaps eventually, he would even be able to tell her about his true nature. But he never got that chance. Vera was killed just before Christmas that year, and he knew it was his fault.

It would be another 120 years before he got the chance to make things right.
