“Hi. How are you?” I bet my eyes look as if I was a deer in headlights. I swallowed. His genuine smile caught me by a huge surprise. I was not expecting that, his image held no smiles or friendly banter for that matter. I didn’t know what to say or what to do. This moment was way too surreal. But, he beat me to it.




“I wanted to thank you for a while now…” His friendly tone churned butterflies in my stomach. It was all in knots. With all of these feelings within myself I managed to say something.




“Why?” I croaked. I sounded so unbelievable stupid. And it did not help that I was blonde. What a stupid stereotype.




“For being so sweet to me”




I could have melted right in front of him. Could have just dropped to the ground.
