Hi! I'm Haley Queen! I'm 19 years old and I'm from Clearwater Oklahoma USA. This is my story about the tornado that ripped through Clearwater in 2016. My friends and I were in the middle of one of the biggest storms of the century, but yet somehow I survived to tell you this story.

Part of the "Disaster Strikes" Series, where teen girls endure hardship both from Mother Nature and the people around them, and not only manage to survive, but thrive! Sarah Anne Jackson is a typical 16 year old girl in her small town of Summersville, Texas. Everyday after school, she volunteers at a local elementary school before coming home to her family's ranch. Day in and day out, the same old routine. Until one day, when everything changes forever. Sarah has to try and keep a classroom full of second graders safe as a tornado roars overhead. She'll do anything to protect them, but will it be enough? This story is 100% my own! All characters and scenes belong to me. However, I did get the name "Summersville" from a Random Town Name Generator, so I don't know if it's actually a real place. lily had known on that god foresaken day that the tornado was no joke. she knew that if something were to go wrong, it would happen to her of all people so it was no suprise that what they thought would be the coolest experience of their lives would soon turn into the worst. after all the lost lives of not only her friends, but of the close towns to the tragedy, she left oklahoma with a heavy heart and no hopes of returning. she moved to l.a. and pursued a career in singing, completely throwing her dreams of getting to the top of the publishing industry into the trash. that was what she wanted when she had so much love and support. when she had a tight knit group of friends but with only two of them left, she couldn't bear to have any reminder of her old life. she even almost cut off her brother, javier, completely. he was a harsh reminder of everything she had lost and it broke her heart to not be with him together in a town they both had loved. but her love had soon diminished the second her best friends died. she's now just a shell of who she used to be, but she was happy in her own fucked up way. so what happens when she feels the pull of oklahoma beckoning her home? her brother needs her and she could never deny him. if you had told her she'd succeed in stopping a tornado from killing anyone else she loved she would have said "screw you" and walked away in a cloud of self fury. if you had also told her she'd fall in love with a cowboy she would've wanted every detail you could give her.Concluída
