"Why?" I raised an eyebrow. "Afraid I'll bite it?"
His guttural growl just made my blood boil more.
"You think I'm going to give YOU the wolf?" I said, astonished by his audacity. "You think for one second you deserve to transform into one of the most amazing creatures on earth?" I rolled my eyes. "Huh. Think again."
He stepped forward, his eyes clouded over. "When I've found my mate, the first blood I will seek will be yours. And when you're squirming on the floor, either mateless or in pain, I will roll you on your front and tear the skin right off your back. So, Kendra, you better watch it."
