"You can't use your mental illness as an excuse for everything." I scowl disapprovingly, watching as he licks the melting ice cream in his hand; the ice cream he got for free because he scammed a sweet old lady into feeling sorry for him. 

"You can't say that to me!" He gasps. "I'm depressed!"  




Nobody would have expected Finley Forest. He always seemed happy, with friends flanking his side, a beautiful girl clutching his hand and an almost guaranteed scholarship on his back.

But thats always the case isn't it? It's always the ones you expect the least - and did this revelation take the whole neighbourhood by surprise. 

An empty bottle of pills, crippled limps and a failed suicide attempt later and Finley Forest is no longer the God who once had the world at his feet. 

His straight formal pants exchanged for ripped skinny alcohol stained jeans. His smart neutral polo shirts replaced by torn band ones. Black tight boots with killer buckles supporting his feet instead of his usually smart tanned shoes. Finley was gone.  

They said he was a goner lost in the poisonous fog that clouds his mind, but I was determined to find him.

Just your basic 'He's the bad boy and she's the girl next door', type of story. Okay, Maybe not. It's more like 'He's a crazy, violent, anger prone lunatic and she's the girl next ward', but hey, they're pretty much the same thing, right? "It's beautiful" I sigh. "Yes it is" Blaze whispers next to me. I looked at him and saw he was just staring at me. "Why are you staring?" "Because it's a beautiful view" I lightly hit him and laugh. He is dark and mysterious and plays football (not shown in book). He smokes and drinks beer. He is a ladies' man and a player. He has walls around his heart and some dark secrets that is definitely not spoiled in the title. He does not believe in love. Brynn and Ryder are opposites. So what happens when they meet? He is not who she thinks he is. Will it end in disaster? Or will it end in love? Will it end in flames? Or will it end in a different kind of flame? As disasters come their way, will they choose love or not love? Will their secrets drive them apart? Or will they trust in each other? Join them on their journey of love. [BxB] Waking up next to someone after having a little too much to drink was no new, riveting story in this day and age. Waking up next to another boy, when you were also a boy, was a little more interesting, but still nothing to write home about. But waking up in Nico Beckett's sheets? To Wesley, it was a nightmare come to life. ~~~ Wesley Dillon's life was uneventful, and frankly, he liked it that way. He didn't get into trouble, he kept his grades up, he played it safe. He never did anything to rock the boat he was floating in, the calm waters of his lake left undisturbed. Now starting his last year in high school, Wes was content to continue living his life as he always has - but sometimes, and only sometimes, he caught himself wishing that something could make ripples in his tiny world. What he wasn't ready for were the waves that were Nico Beckett - a troublemaker, womaniser, and an incredibly popular boy at his school. He was everything Wes was not. Nico was the type of guy that Wes never wanted to associate with, but after waking up in his arms with panic in his chest and pains everywhere else, he realised that his life was going to get much, much more complicated. If you're not okay with that then I suggest you leave. I'm gonna go ahead and add a trigger warning, for suicidal themes, cutting, etc... Fair warning, this story is really poorly written. It's filled with plot holes, grammar errors, and everything else under the sun that makes a bad story. It pains me to reread it but it's like my own writing history so I don't want to take it down.
