All leads that were previously useful to the Kira investigation, are no longer of any relevance.
They are basically back at square one.
Aaliyah is assigned to the case.
she isn't your typical Kira detective, thrown into wammys house.
She was, well, normal. well, as normal as a person who was thrown in and out of different families their entire life. She essentially had a little amount of Wammy's lessons, very few. Eventually she, and a companion, are brought back to where all the detective business began, England. And, they discover something, that even L himself wouldn't be able to predict.
