Blue flickers of fire. I wake up. In a whispering forest. The sounds of faint swooshing goes on in the trees around me. I hear choked up breathing, like someone trying to hide their breath, someone trying not to be heard, like in a game of hide and seek when you had just ran to hide and now you are panting and you here the seeker go by and you try to hide your breathing as much as possible.

I watched closely as the blue eyes crept closer. They started to multiply as well as they started racing after me. I sprinted, my footsteps made no noise while they twitched and darted after me. Some were faster than the others. I weaved in between the trees, flashlights and crawlers were racing behind me. The sirens starting to go off. They noticed my disappearance. It was not long before I heard more steps behind me. With one look over my shoulder and through the trees, it seems that they're hunting me like dogs. My friends sprinted next to me. He could hear the voices of those chasing him, wanting to harm him. The trees and bushes were so thick that it felt like a maze, making it hard for him to see where he was going. The only sounds around were from the animals, making it both eerie and lonely. The boy's breath was heavy as he ran desperately, trying to escape the danger behind him. The darkness seemed to swallow everything, and the voices of those who wanted to hurt him echoed through the silent woods. In this mysterious and scary place, the boy ran with all his strength, hoping to find safety beyond the endless trees. The air smelled of gasoline and death. That's what woke me first. Not the searing pain in my side or the impossible heat coming from somewhere behind me. No, it was the smell. And then the memories hit me like the bus hit the tree. And I was rolling down the side of a mountain, surrounded by ten other screaming kids and three panicked adults. All of which had a ninety six percent chance of death. My eyes were open. My emerald eyes, so rare that only two percent of the population had them. And my throat was burning, and my skin was tingling. And all I could think about was the probability that I was dying. Scattered around me I knew were twelve other people with a ninety nine percent chance of already being dead. And I didn't look around to find out. "This is a nightmare, it's only a nightmare..." I say to myself as I try to catch my breath while leaning against a tall pine tree. Only for a moment do I stay in that position until I hear a twig snap. I quickly leap away from the tree and run as fast as I can. "Wake up (Y/N)! just wake up!!!" I think to myself. "You are awake my dear..." I hear that voice. That damn voice. "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!" I scream. I continue to run past trees and hopping over large rocks. The mist in the air begins to get thicker as I continue this race. "Why me? out of all the people this had to happen to me!" my brain races with thoughts until my foot gets caught by a tree root sticking out of the ground. I fall hitting my head on a rock. My vision is blurry and I can feel a warm liquid begin to stream down my face. "My dear (Y/N), look what you have done to yourself. You shouldn't have tried to run away." the voice goes through my head again. I look around and see nothing but trees. "LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" My voice begins to grow sore from the constant running and yelling. The sound of leaves crunching comes from behind me and I whip my head around until my eyes are met with him. "My dear (Y/N), you've made quite the mess of yourself. You know you are not aloud to leave......now you'll have to be punished." The figure says without any facial expression or motion. The figure begins to walk forward towards me. I try to back away until my vision becomes black and all I can hear is static.
