He stood there, looking at me with intense love and admiration in his eyes. I couldn't do this, I couldn't just break his heart like many people in my life have broken mine. But I had no choice, if I wanted his safety and happiness, I had to distance myself from him. He stared into my eyes and then, he walked right up to me.
"Why don't you want to be with me?" He asked, his voice broke and his eyes filled with tears.
"You have to understand, if you be with me, you'll get hurt and I don't want you to get hurt. It's not that I don't want you, I-I think I love you!" I whispered the last part before pressing my lips to his.
I pulled away knowing that this was wrong, "Take care my love and whatever you do, don't forget me."
Before he could see the tears streaming down my cheeks, I ran, feeling like I had nothing left in me to fight for.
