After being severely injured by konoha Shinobi, Naruto was almost killed. Naruto was saved by a rouge medic by the name of Shinnõ. Naruto is taken out of the village by the request of the Sandaime Hokage. Naruto trains and learns from Shinnõ on how to be a medic, but Shinnõ's death led Naruto back to Konoha to become a medic nin.

As they all discover who each other really is, Sasuke uncovers some feeling he's never felt before and Naruto starts to see his friends in new ways. Strictly SasuSaku and minor NaruHina. After a major mission went horribly wrong, the Leaf shinobi were ordered to retreat and abandon those left behind, even if it meant leaving teammates. Sakura, not willing to leave those dear to her, goes to rescue them. After which she discovers Tsunade is not going to just leave her be, but the apprentice doesn't plan to let her kindness be smothered out. Abandoning her home wasn't her original plan. She would have liked to go back, but the wheels of the world had begun turning in a different direction long before she was born. A war was prevented and lives were saved. Sakura will just be another mechanism in the workings of time.
