When Emily and Scott Smalls move into a new neighborhood, they manage to make friends with a group of kids who play baseball at a place known as the sandlot. Together they go on a series of funny and touching adventures. Emily and the boys run into trouble when Scotty borrows a ball from his stepdad that gets hit over the fence and into the yard of the beast. Through out their adventure Emily and Benny start to fall for eachother but, they are both oblivious about their mutual attraction. Will Benny have the guts to ask out Emily.
