To this day she was ever so grateful for Dot for being by her side throughout the whole of Alec and Clary's childhood. AU: Maryse gives Alec to Jocelyn when she escapes Valentine and Alec grows up living an mundane life until Clary's eighteenth birthday when they discover the shadowworld together.
