"Loni, please." His voice is so gentle and so longing, I weaken. Swallowing, I finally dare meet his gaze. My fear of disappointment vanishes. "Please say something."
"You made me feel special and loved one minute and the next I don't even know if you're alive."
"I..I just really needed time and space to figure out you and me and us. "
He gently strokes my arm and feel myself weakening by every touch. Right now, I want him more than ever.
"Have you gotten it all figured out?" I ask him breathlessly.
"Not all of it, but I couldn't stand another second away from you."
"Good answer."
I lean in and our lips touch. I've missed this, I've missed him. The past weeks have been so confusing for me. Thomas suddenly stopped calling and texting me. He wouldn't answer my calls and texts. I felt used and stupid. Like maybe Steven was right. What was I thinking? I was never really good enough for him.
But right now, I know Thomas means what he said.
"You wanna get out of here?"Thomas whispers breathlessly, our foreheads leaning on each other. There's something sexy in his voice, something edgy.
"Yes, please."
